POWER, ENERGY AND GAS SECTOR:
- Developing interest free loan package for fan manufacturers in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan and other financial institutions.
- Draft summary for the ECC of the Cabinet for fiscal incentives (Custom & Regulatory Duty Exemptions) on import of electric steel sheet has been prepared and circulated for comments from relevant stakeholders which will enable fan manufacturers to produce energy efficient fans at cheaper costs.
TRANSPORT SECTOR:
Under UNDP’s Pakistan Sustainable Transport Project (PAKSTRAN) the following studies have been finalized to be carried out by ENERCON:
- Improved Energy Efficiency in Truck Freight Transport.
- International Best Practices /trends in truck freight energy use and its linkage in the context of Pakistan.
BUILDING SECTOR:
The Taskforce Meeting of the Building Code (Energy Provisions-2011) was held to review the RFP for Developing Compliance Handbook through consulting firms and conduct of associated training programs in collaboration with Institute of Architects of Pakistan, PEC, PGBC etc.
JICA team is also supporting NEECA to promote Energy Efficiency in Building Sector and is currently analyzing the Building Sector potential

Translation of Tube well/Pumps Energy Audits Manuals under consideration along with video demonstration clip
Centre for Clean Air Policy is assisting NEECA in developing a proposal on energy efficiency in agricultural sector
